Starting Annual Salary Range: $48,505.60 - $55,000.08, based on level of qualifications and experience.

Paid Bi-Weekly

The Florida Department of Veterans’ Affairs (FDVA) seeks to hire talented and dedicated individuals who share our commitment to excellence. The incumbent in this position serves as a Planning Analyst for the Health Information System for the Agency and reports to the Program Director of the Long-Term Care Division.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Two years of working experience with Microsoft 365.

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft 365 product features, functionality, and utilization.

  • Two years of experience managing, supporting, or administering business systems and/or technology.

  • Ability to read, interpret, and understand technical terms and manuals and to communicate information to both technical and non-technical users.

  • Applicant must have a valid Driver’s License.

  • Must be willing and able to travel throughout the state of Florida on extended overnight trips.

  • Successful completion of a Level 2 Background Screening, drug test and due diligence process.

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    Preference will be given to applicants with the following qualifications and experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher from an accredited university – or – Four years of experience managing, administering, or supporting business systems and/or technology – or – Any combination of education and experience identified above totaling four or more years.

    JOB DESCRIPTION

    The incumbent in this position will be responsible for overseeing the Electronic Health Record System (EHRS) through consultation, planning, management, and support of the system; and tasked with providing product features, functionality, and utilization support of the EHRS and other systems and applications used within the Homes Program (Long-Term Care Division) meeting organizational needs.

  • Develop, implement, and execute organizational processes and procedures to monitor and maintain the security of the EHRS ensuring compliance with applicable rules, regulations, and standards.

  • Create, delete, and maintain user accounts in the EHRS; assign and remove security tokens; consult with management personnel to discuss access needs and changes.

  • Analyze existing data and program needs to plan, configure, and implement changes and recommendations within the EHRS to efficiently address organizational objectives.

  • Provide recognized knowledge of product features, functionality, and utilization of the EHRS and other systems and applications in support of the Homes Program’s organizational needs.

  • Design and document technical solutions to the user needs utilizing the most appropriate tools available; and provide consultation and instruction to program staff on the functions within systems and applications including, but not limited to content management and data integration.

  • Develop processes, guidelines, and best practices to meet organizational needs; and develop technical resources and templates for use by program staff.

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

    Ability to understand and apply applicable rules, regulations, policies, and procedures relating to assigned activities. Knowledge of techniques of computer systems analysis and designability to prepare technical documentation such as user guides, instructional documents, and training materials. Ability to collect, evaluate and analyze data to develop alternative recommendations, solve problems, document work flow and other activities. Ability to organize data into logical format for presentation in reports, documents and other written materials. Ability to conduct fact find-solving techniques.
