Job Details Nuclear Medicine Technologist performs Nuclear Medicine examinations, and computer analysis of patient data, contributing to the efficient operation of the department and promoting this philosophy to ensure the quality and continuity of patient care. Responsibilities: Calibrates and prepares the required radioactivity and correct radiopharmaceutical to administer to patients. Administers oral radiopharmaceutical. Administers radionuclides to patients both P.O ad I.V. Calibrates and performs required quality control on imaging equipment, dose calibrator and thyroid uptake probe. Assists physicians in performance of examinations. Performs a variety of technical procedures that require independent judgment and ingenuity. Requirements: License and Education: Must have American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) registration in Nuclear Medicine and/or Nuclear Technology Board (NMTCB) certification Must be a graduate of an accredited Nuclear Medicine Technologist program. New York State Dept. of Health License in Nuclear Medicine Salary Range USD $53.00 - USD $53.00 /Hr. This range serves as a good faith estimate and actual pay will encompass a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience. The salary range or rate listed does not include any bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation that may be applicable to this job and it does not include the value of benefits.
