Attention experienced machine operators in the Smyrna TN area! We have two direct placement career opportunities for 2nd shift! Company is a global leader in worm gear, t-bolt, band, strut, specialty clamps, hose supports, conduit, fastening solutions, fittings, and couplings. Work in a non-climate-controlled manufacturing setting that may include dust and debris and can be loud at times. Perform various tasks involved in bagging/ boxing operation including but not limited to setting up and operating bagging machines, handling parts and materials, packing parts and other related activities using hand tools, various type of packing materials. Must follow all applicable safety procedures to avoid injuries including requests for help from co-workers. Proper handling of finished parts and products to avoid injuries or damage, follow all operational instructions when operating or using tools and equipment. Provide quality checks as determined. Job may require overtime and a flexible schedule, reporting early and working late, including weekends. Pay rate is $22-$24 per hour based on experience. Responsibilities

• Sets up and operates a production machine in accordance with established procedures and guidelines.

• Uses computer-controlled equipment to select position and secure automatic or semi-automatic machines.

• Controls and adjusts machine settings to complete more complex tasks.

• May assist with training other machine operators.

• May calculate and assist with numeric controlled programming.

• Typically reports to a supervisor/manager

The essential functions of this role include:

• wearing steel toe shoes

• working in a non-temperature controlled environment

• manual lifting up to 50lbs

Skills

• setting up production machine (2 years of experience is preferred)

• controls/adjusts settings (2 years of experience is preferred)
